Unlike most airports, the bus stands at Alicante are not on the arrivals floor. They are on floor 2, the departures level: leave the terminal there and cross the pavement to the outer bays.

Easy to get wrong
You do not have to change at Puerta del Mar to reach the main railway station. Passengers who start at the airport may stay on the C-6 all the way to Alicante RENFE.
