Faro airport has no railway station, and the airport says so itself: from here, taxis and buses take you to the train station in the city centre. Every rail journey in the Algarve starts with a road leg.

The city bus stop called Aeroporto Faro is not the same as the two stops on the roundabout outside — Rotunda Aeroporto Sul and Aeroporto Norte sit in a different fare zone. Walking out to the main road changes what you pay.
