Easy to get wrong
Most IC lines that call at the airport run straight through central Brussels, calling at Brussels-Nord, Brussels-Central and Brussels-Midi in sequence on the same working - a traveller does not need to pick a specific 'Brussels' station in advance, only the one nearest their next stop.

Fixed fare
Every train ticket to or from the airport station carries a separate Brussels Airport Supplement (formerly the 'Diabolo fee') on top of the normal fare; SNCB's own airport-supplement page states EUR 5.50 per single journey in either class, while a secondary source dated November 2025 gives EUR 6.90 - the two disagree and both are reported here rather than one being silently chosen.

Tickets
The supplement can be bought online, at ticket offices, at ticket machines, or on board the train itself - it is not folded automatically into every fare product, so a traveller with a pre-bought ticket that does not already include it can still be asked for it on board.
