The parts people get wrong. Each one links to where we checked it.

  • Fixed fare

The airport's own site states a unireso zone-10 ticket covers this trip for CHF 3, and separately that the airport offers a CHF 10 discount voucher on any train ticket to or from Geneva Airport as part of a sustainable-mobility programme - two different discounts that should not be confused with each other.

  • Hours

Up to seven trains an hour run this short hop at peak times, mixing ordinary SBB InterCity (IC1) services passing through and the dedicated Léman Express cross-border network, both of which stop at the airport station and both of which reach Cornavin without a change.

  • Easy to get wrong

Léman Express is not an SBB brand: it is legally operated by Lémanis SA, a joint venture founded in 2017 and held 60% by SBB/CFF and 40% by SNCF, so its own timetable and marketing are run jointly rather than by SBB alone.
