  • Hours

The M4 metro reaches the centre of Milan in 12 minutes and runs from 05:40 to 00:30 every day. Outside those hours the NM4 night bus covers the same route.

  • Easy to get wrong

Linate is the eastern terminus of the M4, so every train runs the same way: Repetti and Forlanini for the suburban rail, Dateo, then Tricolore and San Babila. San Babila is the central stop - the line does not call at Duomo.

  • Tickets

Hold a contactless card, phone or watch to the reader on the way in and again on the way out: no paper ticket, no extra fee. It works on every ATM line but not on suburban S lines or trains.

  • Easy to get wrong

Both coaches to Milano Centrale take about 25 minutes, the same as the metro plus a change - the coach is worth it for the luggage, not for the speed. From Lambrate the ride is only 10 minutes.
