  • Status

CAT's own 16-minute nonstop train service is currently replaced by a rail-replacement bus taking about 21 minutes, because of modernisation works expected to last until roughly the end of October 2027 - the 16-minute figure is the service's normal, post-works timing, not what runs today.

  • Fixed fare

CAT's own site lists the one-way adult fare at €14.90 and round trip at €24.90 - noticeably more than the ÖBB S7/REX7 alternative below, in exchange for a nonstop, no-transfer ride straight to Wien Mitte.

  • Easy to get wrong

CAT is not simply an ÖBB train under another name: it is run by a joint-venture company 50.1% owned by the airport operator Flughafen Wien AG and 49.9% by ÖBB, so its fares and product are set independently of ÖBB's own airport trains, not just rebranded.
