Easy to get wrong
There is no high-speed line between Paris and Toulouse — this is the classic Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse (POLT) line, over 700 km long, run entirely by Intercités rolling stock. A ticket search showing a much faster time is routing via Bordeaux and a TGV change, not this direct service.

SNCF Réseau's own modernisation announcement for this corridor targets a 15-20 minute journey-time cut and one extra daily return working, bringing the total to 11 round trips a day — improvements not yet in effect as of this check, so current timetables should still show fewer, slower departures.
