Easy to get wrong
There is NO train station directly at the airport terminal - the Luton DART automated people-mover (opened 10 March 2023) replaced the old shuttle bus and connects the terminal to Luton Airport Parkway station, from where mainline trains run; rail tickets marked 'Luton Airport' already include the DART leg, so a traveller does not need to buy it separately.

Fixed fare
The DART single fare alone is GBP 4.90 for someone not continuing onward by rail; journeys booked through to central London as one ticket bundle this in rather than charging it twice.

Easy to get wrong
East Midlands Railway's twice-hourly 'Luton Airport Express' semi-fast brand and Thameslink's more frequent stopping service both run the same Luton Airport Parkway-St Pancras corridor - checking only Thameslink's board can understate true frequency.
