The Schiphol - Utrecht - Eindhoven - Venlo Intercity line runs as one continuous working twice an hour; Utrecht is an intermediate stop on the same train, not a transfer point, even though it looks like a natural place to change on a route map.

Eindhoven Centraal's own service list also gives this line as one of four distinct Intercity patterns serving the station, alongside the Amsterdam/Maastricht line, the Den Haag/Breda line, and the Enkhuizen/Heerlen line - checking the wrong one can make it look like there is no direct Schiphol option.
